How we got here?
Back in 1998, we started Amjo selling facial sunlamps, a business we are no longer in for a variety of reasons. The business began as a hobby as both Cheryl and I had full time jobs in other fields. Cheryl was teaching high school math and science and I was working as a senior marketing executive at Richardson Electronics Ltd. near Chicago IL.

The selling of sun-lamps led to many questions from customers about the use of sun-lamps for the treatment of SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), a condition we had never heard of and questions about skin challenges such as Psoriasis, Eczema, Vitiligo, Atopic Dermatitis to name a few. These questions led us into two new businesses The Sad Light Super Store and UV Home Phototherapy Systems.

Sometimes it's difficult to remember what happened next. Our three websites www.amjo.net, www.sadlight.com and www.homephototherapy.com  were doing well and we got a phone call out of the blue from a person in Israel making Pulsed Electro Magnetic Therapy equipment for home and clinical use. He had seen our websites and asked if we would like to market his product here in the USA. This led to www.curatron.com.

Sorry for rambling, but next came a call from Germany regarding red/blue lights for the treatment of Acne and you guessed it, along came www.BeautySkinUSA.com where we now sell the Dr. Kern Red/Blue Acne light. This led to the Deep Penetrating Light at www.LightsForHealth.com and a call from Canada which spawned www.ThermotexUSA.com.

I forgot to mention that the chief engineer at one of our vendors also had a small business with a very unique product line catching people lighting up in bathrooms around the country, you guessed it, this led to www.CatchaSmoker.com aka www.NickaTeen.com.

So this website happened because people kept calling us asking about woods lights. We added a woods light page to our www.HomePhotoTherapy.com website simply telling folks about what a Woods Lamp or Woods Light was, never intending to sell them. Another phone call, this time from a woman selling Woods Lamps to estheticians around the country asking if we'd be interested in selling her line of Woods Lights. Hence this site!

Somewhere in all of this I forgot the germicidal UVC products at www.ezuvc.com and our stroke therapy device made my that guy in Israel who called me back in 2000. The stroke therapy device can be found at www.BiomoveUSA.com

Cheryl quit her "day-job" back in 2001 and I quit mine back in 2003.
